Throughout the years, our faces naturally lose the subcutaneous fat that is just under our skin. This causes the facial muscles to work closer to the surface of the skin, making crow’s feet, smile lines and other signs of aging become more visible. Facial skin also stretches somewhat, adding to loss of facial volume. Unlike Botox, which prevents the muscle movement that causes wrinkles, dermal fillers are injected directly into skin to plump an area and remove wrinkles, depressions or folds.
With dermal fillers here at Walla Walla Aesthetics + Wellness we can:
Make lips look natural and hydrated while adding volume and fullness.
Add volume, and lift to cheek bones.
Minimize facial wrinkles and creases.
What to Expect:
During your Dermal Filler treatment, you will be seated comfortably in a reclined position. Your Walla Walla Aesthetics + Wellness Practitioner will map out the areas to be treated and will clean them with an antiseptic.
The dermal filler that is selected as being the most appropriate for you is administered into the skin through injection, which takes about 45 minutes. The procedure is generally tolerable and does not require a topical anesthetic. After the treatment, you may experience redness and swelling, which may last up to 36 hours, but can be reduced with an ice pack.
Dermal fillers are generally very safe. Depending on the type of filler used and the area being injected, you can expect to see some bruising after the injection and you may experience swelling.
How Long Do Fillers Last?
Fillers can typically last anywhere from 6-24 months. The longevity is dependent on the exact product and the way your body metabolizes.
Are Dermal Fillers For Me?
While dermal fillers have many benefits, they aren’t for everyone. Whether they are for you or not depends on what your goals are and what you expect for this Walla Walla Aesthetics + Wellness anti-aging treatment. The effectiveness of dermal fillers is six months to 2 years, so a good candidate is willing to continue treatments to sustain their youthful look. We find that any of our patients who want to increase the volume and smoothness of their skin are excellent candidates for dermal fillers. We do not inject women who are pregnant or nursing.
Pricing starts at $600 per syringe
